Marsha Nowakowski, Author of "Toddler Tootsies Take On The Day!"

Toddler Tootsies Take On The Day! is Marsha's debut book for toddlers. She has spent forty years in the healthcare industry as a cardiac nurse. Her expertise and inspiration for writing Mattie and Mattie's Adventures developed from her own observations that patients who recovered more quickly exhibited healthy habits and good attitudes toward life. As a mother and grandmother, Marsha recognized the need for books teaching healthy habits to help young ones develop into successful people who always do their best. Matt and Mattie's Adventures makes everyday habits fun, balanced, and adventuresome for toddlers.

Being thrust into the world of chronic disease and feeding tubes left the Meyers anxious to find resources and support wherever possible. The feeding tube community was instrumental in this learning process. In searching for kid-friendly resources, the Meyers learned that there were few books related to feeding tubes for kids and none that depicted these kids as the true superheroes they are.

During our four-year-old son’s parent/teacher conference, his Montessori teacher noticed some different behavior during school time, so she bluntly told us she thought our son had Sensory Integration Dysfunction (SPD, better known today as Sensory Processing Disorder). Thinking the absolute worst while holding back the tears and feeling a lump in my throat, my husband and I said, “What is that?
