Carole P. Roman, Children's Author

Prolific children's author, founder of Indie Author's Monthly magazine, and blog show host

Carole P. Roman is the award-winning author of over fifty children's books. Whether it's pirates, princesses, or discovering the world around us, her books have enchanted educators, parents, and her diverse audience of children. She hosts two blog radio programs and is one of the founders of a new magazine, Indie Author's Monthly. She's been interviewed twice by Forbes Magazine. Carole has co-authored a self-help book, Navigating Indieworld: A Beginners Guide to Self-Publishing and Marketing. Oh Susannah is her first Early Reader Chapter book series. She lives on Long Island with her husband and near her children and grandchildren.

Her series includes:

  • Captain No Beard
  • If You Were Me and Lived in ... (Cultural)
  • If You Were Me and Lived in ... (Historical)
  • Nursery series
  • Oh Susannah (Early Reader)
  • Navigating Indieworld (with co-author Julie A. Gerber)
  • Indieworld Marketing (with co-authors Angela Hausman and Julie A. Gerber)
  • Bulwark (writing as Brit Lunden)

The most important thing the author wants readers to gain from her books:

With my cultural and historical series, I want children to travel the world and enjoy the wide variety it offers. Whether it's food, language, history, or landmarks we share this fantastic globe and it should be celebrated every day. Captain No Beard reminds children that imagination is the most important element of fun. Oh, Susannah lets early readers know they're not alone in the everyday troubles and challenges they will meet. Lastly, the nursery series can both empower or sooth; in other words, there's something for everyone!

Why the author is an authority on the subject of her books:

I'm not. I'm just a mother and grandmother and I write for my children and grandchildren.
