Lisa Reinicke, Award-Winning, Best-Selling Author and Speaker

Entertaining books, yet focusing on social issues that engage children and parents to discuss important topics.

I am the majority holder of Our House Publications and author of 4 published children’s picture books and 1 historical memoir for sale on Amazon and independent bookstores. I was honored with the Mom’s Choice Gold Award for lifetime literary excellence for my children’s book, Wings and Feet, in 2017. I am a storyteller and author of 35 children’s stories appearing on local TV shows, elementary schools, and bookstores. The stories have been published in 3 collective recordings for distribution for A Goodnight Sleep Company. I also produce online (virtual) training for automotive service advisors and technicians. I serve as head writer and on-camera talent in the videos.

The most important thing the author wants readers to gain from her books:

It is important to me that all of my books have an important lesson in them. Depending on which book you pick up, you'll hear these messages: be responsible, love who you are, be a good friend, be a leader, live a healthy lifestyle by choosing good foods and exercise. My newest book, which is for adults, is a memoir about my dad during WWII, and the lesson in that book is to be a good person. Live humbled, honestly, non-judgmentally, and be giving.

Why the author is an authority on the subject of her books:

For my children's books, I have four children who are all uniquely different ranging from physical differences, adoption, and physiological disorders which lead me following experts in each field to help children overcome the stigma around being different. When I have a passion, I research the heck out of it. With Arnold, it is a children's story about a pet pig who eats food that wasn't made for him and get gets really big and unhealthy. But really, we can all learn a lesson, even as adults, from Arnold. I follow the Paleo diet, and I have thrown myself into the nutritional side of foods to learn all I can about which foods are good for us and which foods are not. For Football Flyboy, I have my dad's letters. These letters allowed me to look inside WWII, from a personal side. Not from a history book, but from his feet on the ground experience. I have his flight plan, and I have researched each country he was in and know why he was there. To me, hearing people's encounters teaches us far more about things than sometimes the facts can.

wrap up with discussion.
The book she reads depends on the age group, and the overall feel of the groups she is reading

Arnold, The Cute Little Pig With Personality is about my cute little pet pig. He really did love to eat sweets and oink at the neighbors for food. Arnold appeared on TV and delighted children as he sang his "oink" song.
