Hailing from Chicago's captivating south side, Marq E. Redmond has served his community as an educator for twenty years. He has taught in the Chicago public school system as well as served as a mentor with various social service agencies. Marq E. Redmond is currently an instructor with the City Colleges of Chicago. After serving 10 years in the United States Army Reserves, Marq received his Bachelor's of Science degree in Biology from Chicago State University and is pursuing a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Olivet Nazarene University. His greatest accomplishments, however, is being a compassionate brother, obedient son, diligent father, and loving husband.

Revelations of A Real Man (Or Woman) is a short jaunt through the life of a man who has gained introspective on the choices he's made as a son, brother, father, and husband. Some decisions bolstered his future, while others left his growth stagnant. This book will give you, the reader, insight on how God is still in the miracle-making business despite our many shortcomings.

Why the author is an authority on the subject of his book:

As a diabetic for 10 years and an amputee for 5 years, I have first-hand knowledge and experience of how challenging living with an amputation can be. Learning to navigate the daily routines that many take for granted is a humbling moment that makes one have an epiphany of what their life has meant and where their life is going.

Speaking Engagements and School Presentations:

For school presentations not in a faith-based setting, I focus on the amputation of my foot and the diabetes that caused it. Statistics and studies showing health challenges and how the quality of life is affected by amputation. Family engagement and disability awareness is also an important component of my presentation.
