Stories of brotherly love and adventure.

Mark Tiffany is a Los Angeles-based author that has published two children’s books about his Maltese puppies, Carter and Jack. Titled The Green-eyed Monster in a Maltese Suit and He’s Not A Pig; He’s My Brother, these works make clear that the love of a dog will prevail when confronted with the most challenging circumstances of dog ownership. These fictionalized accounts were inspired by real life events and provide entertainment for reading aloud or challenging one’s own imagination by reading alone.

This former aerospace and defense industry executive’s previous writing experience was purely technical. Mark retired after a rewarding career at The Boeing Company and in search of opportunities to pay-it-forward. After a two-year commitment as a faculty advisor to the finance department at California State University - Long Beach, he was intrigued by the challenge of writing and perhaps publishing a book. While considering more serious non-fiction subject matters, he couldn’t help but notice the subject matters right in front of him, his puppies, Carter and Jack. The two books he has published have allowed him to engage with schools, hospitals, and other children literacy organizations. In the past year, Mark has joined the Board of Trustees of the Providence TrinityCare Foundation. His support of this organization includes TrinityKids Care, the only dedicated pediatric hospice and palliative care provider in Los Angeles and Orange counties. Their program allows children with life-limiting illnesses to live as normal as possible, for as long as possible, in their own homes.

Mark lives in Rancho Palos Verdes, California with his wife and two dogs. He stays connected to his alma mater, The Ohio State University, through alumni activities and his charitable giving. In addition to writing, he enjoys golf, guitar, and yoga. And, of course, he always appreciates a good book.
